New Book by Author Aruna Arya Gupta Is A Tribute To Women Empowerment  

Aruna Arya Gupta is an American-Indian poet and author who has written a number of notable works. "The Heart Has Its Answers," her newly released book, is a remarkable gem and a beautiful addition to women's empowerment.

Smartworld Developers hosts an all-women supercar rally

The Queens Drive, organised by Smartworld Developers in collaboration with Big Boy Toyz, was a one-of-a-kind all-women super-car rally in Gurugram. Women got behind the wheel of luxury vehicles including Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, Ferrari, BMW, Mercedes-AMG, Bentley, Porsche, Audi, and more at the event.

The Queen's Drive began at the Smartworld Sales Gallery in Sector 62, Gurgaon, and travelled to Golf Course Road along the picturesque Gwal Pahadi Road before returning to the Gallery. This event drew over 100 women from around Delhi and the NCR, including Mrs. Aishwarya Bansal, Co-Founder of Smartworld. Mrs. Ritika.

Delhi HC appoints Kiran Bedi to oversee committee to assess mental, physical health of women

The Delhi High Court formed a committee to ensure the welfare and assess the physical and mental health of women inmates at a Rohini-based ashram founded by self-styled godman Virendra Dev Dixit, who is a proclaimed offender in a case of sexual exploitation. The committee will be supervised by former Pondicherry Lieutenant Governor and retired IPS officer Kiran Bedi.

Last Monday, a division bench led by acting Chief Justice Vipin Sanghi and Justice Navin Chawla found that the women inmates of Adhyatmik Vidyalaya are brainwashed, and that their claim that they are there of their own free will cannot be taken at face value.

Government's Indradhanush initiative immunised 43.6 lakh children and 11 lakh pregnant women

Despite the fact that regular immunisation has been slowed by the Covid-19 outbreak, the government recently identified and covered 43.6 lakh children and 11 lakh pregnant women under its flagship Mission Indradhanush initiative.

During the initial part of the fourth cycle of the intensified programme (IMI 4.0), approximately 4.7 lakh sessions were held in 11 states between February and April to vaccinate those who were due or overdue for their routine immunisation, according to an official.

The Mission intends to close the gaps and achieve long-term results in the Universal Immunization Program, which vaccinates roughly 2.9 crore pregnant women and 2.7 crore children each year.

Raisina Dialogue 2022 hosts the Launch of a New Boon on the Role of Women Leaders during COVID

The role of women leaders during the COVID-19 pandemic is celebrated in a new book released on Wednesday at an event hosted by the think tank Observer Research Foundation (ORF).

At the Raisina Dialogue 2022, the book The First Responders: Women Who Led India Through The Pandemic was unveiled.

The book, co-published by the Reliance Foundation and ORF, depicts the lives of women who supported their communities across India, as well as their involvement in helping to battle the pandemic's obstacles at the grassroots level.

The book launch was followed by a panel discussion on the subject, ‘The First Responder: Women Leadership and the SDGs’, with Smriti Irani, Minister for Women and Child Development; Kwati Candith, Deputy Minister, International Relations and Co-operation, South Africa; Waseqa Ayesha Khan, Member of Parliament, Bangladesh; and Shombi Sharp, Resident Coordinator, India, United Nations.

Anurag Thakur launches 'Azadi Ki Amrit Kahaniyan,' a Short Video Series Featuring Inspiring Women's Tales

Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur released 'Azadi Ki Amrit Kahaniya', a short video series made in conjunction with OTT provider Netflix, on Tuesday as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.

With numerous efforts, he said, the ministry has been a crucial part of the Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.

In India, the concept of Azadi is linked to women's emancipation, and the Minister noted that the term Azadi, or freedom, has a broader connotation for women who must also contend with preconceptions and taboos in society. He went on to say that the emancipation of women was the defining feature of a society's emancipation index.

NTPC Bongaigaon Organises a Medical and Identification Camp for the Girl Empowerment Mission

NTPC has launched the 'Girl Empowerment Mission' – GEM as part of its CSR project with the goal of creating an environment of equal opportunity and all-around upliftment for underprivileged girl students in the surrounding area.

On April 27, 2012, NTPC Bongaigaon held a day-long medical examination camp on its premises to test the students' fitness.

NTPC Bongaigaon plans to run a four-week residential programme for female students during the summer break in the month of July 2022.

The camp drew more than 50 youngsters (10-12 years old) from nine schools in the surrounding villages. NTPC personnel also conducted child identification, obtained consent forms from parents and guardians, and began the measurement of the school uniform/dress to be delivered to the students.

Google and Telangana Govt Sign Agreement to Offer Benefits of Digital Economy to Women Entrepreneurs

Google signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Telangana government on Thursday to deliver the benefits of the digital economy to young and female entrepreneurs, as well as to off the construction of its three million square foot facility in the city from the ground up. Telangana IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao was present when the MoU was signed.

According to a Google release, under the new initiative, Google will work with the government's various arms to provide scholarships for Google Career Certificates to Telangana's youth, support women entrepreneurs through digital, business, and financial skills training, and support the government's school modernization efforts with digital teaching and learning tools and solutions.

Google will also support the Telangana government's attempts to improve public transportation and the use of digital technologies in agriculture as part of the collaborative endeavour.
