The interior design industry has stories of endless list of brilliant female interior designers. But it was not a cakewalk for women to just enter into this new age profession. Like all other professions, women in the world of design have historically struggled to find a place at the table. The worldwide studies show that the industry skews largely towards women. Out of the 87,000 interior de-signers in the US, a whopping 69 percent are women. But the things are different in India. Firstly, the industry is only at its nascent stage in India.
