On Wednesday, the state cabinet approved allocating 3% of the district's yearly revenues to women's and children's empowerment programmes.
The District Planning and Development Council (DPDC) has a total allocation of INR 15,622 crore at the moment. Women and child development minister Yashomati Thakur declared that INR 468 crore will be allocated to empowerment programmes for women and children.
The minister stated that a decision had been taken to bring all of the women and child development department's district offices under one roof.
Thakur said, “accordingly, land will be made available through the Collectorate in every district to construct Mahila and Bal Vikas Bhawan. The construction will be based on Amravati pattern.”
Every district's district women and child development officer would receive a total of 36 automobiles, according to Thakur. The commodities produced by women self-help organisations and the Mahila Arthik Vikas Mahamandal (MAVIM) would be transported to the local market using these trucks.
Construction of new Anganwadi centres, power supply, tube water supply, extension and repair of Anganwadi centre buildings, and modernization of kitchens would be supported under the Integrated Child Development programme.
