The Rajasthan government has launched a 'Back to Work' programme for women who have left their jobs to care for their families after marriage or for other reasons. The initiative has been approved by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, according to an official.

Women who had lost their jobs will be rehired or given the option of working from home with the support of the private sector.

In this initiative, a goal of providing work to 15,000 women in the next three years has been set.

Widows, the abandoned, the divorced, and the victims of violence will be given priority. Women who are unable to attend work will be given the opportunity to 'Work from Home.'

The Single Window System will be developed in collaboration with the Directorate of Women Empowerment and CSR organisations to provide job possibilities to women who want to return to work.

Aside from that, RKCL will also provide skill training.

For the execution of the programme on a pilot project basis, applications will be accepted from the target category of women on the portals of partner agencies/CSR organisations or through application software.

The CSR organisation will endeavour to connect women with jobs in the private sector based on the category-by-category database of enrolled women on the internet site.

If necessary, re-skilling/up-skilling training would be delivered to women in the targeted group who have enrolled on the website. The site will be used to update the information. For the scheme's effective execution, a monitoring committee will be formed.

During his reply after the discussion of the Finance and Appropriation Bill in Budget 2021-22, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot made an announcement about the 'Back to Work' scheme.
