Over 140 Indian women cyclists from different parts of the country got together for a cycle rally to promote women’s empowerment on Sunday. The rally began from Jammu & Kashmir’s Baramulla and commenced at Kaman AmanSetu (bridge of peace) on the Line of Control (LOC). The cycling rally was conducted by the Indian Army with an objective to promote women's empowerment across the Kashmir valley.

The cycling rally covered a distance of 65 kilometers. It was flagged off from Showkat Ali Stadium in Baramulla and ended at Kaman Post in Uri. The event saw participation from various women cyclists from different schools and clubs across Kashmir.

“We got a request from the women of Kashmir to hold a cycling rally solely for women,” said the General Officer Commander (GOC) of the Dagger Division, Ajay Chanpuria.

The event marked the second season of a women's cycle rally in Kashmir. Post past year's successful event, the Indian Army organized a mega rally under 'AzadikaAmritMohatsov' to celebrate the 75th year of Indian independence.
