Deepti Pawar: A Communications & Design Enthusiast Delivering Quality With Creativity

Deepti Pawar
Founder & Director

Content writing has found its way into every industry, and with content marketing on the rise across industries, it is essential to create compelling narratives while telling your brand story. Many entrepreneurs today have stories to tell, and whether it is selling a product, or a service, each objective must receive an appropriate definition. Content and communication require thought, research, curation, and an in-depth understanding of who the written piece is meant for, and the medium chosen to tell the story. Considering the world's dynamism and the need for a clear, crisp way of telling stories, Deepti Pawar founded WyteFyre in 2021, a Premium Communications Company serving quality content and design to businesses across verticals. Premium Communication Concepts from WyteFyre help businesses create an identity and drive brand awareness.

Deepti is a self-motivated professional with 20+ years of profound experience in the field of Content and Communications. She holds a bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, started as a technical writer, and moved on into marketing communications.

What are some features of your expertise as a leader in Content & Communications? Take us through your early educational journey & your prior industry experience.

Content and communication are very subjective topics since many elements dictate how a written piece needs to be crafted. The critical aspects of making an impact come from the ability to relate to the audience and the style of narratives and storytelling required to truly connect with the reader. As a communications professional, my experience suggests that mediums like websites, brochures, blogs, and social media often call for different forms of content; beyond all this lies quality and creativity. Although I graduated with a degree in Computer Science, I was always interested in what goes into the making of genuinely expressing oneself. My career started as a Customer Care Executive and then technical writer, and I finally moved on to marketing communications. I even explored opportunities to train and mentor new employees and contributed to creating training material.Through this journey, I was always curious and observant about techniques, messaging, and channels of a range of communication assets. This gave me an insight into addressing a variety of audiences at varied maturity levels. Eventually, this helped lay the foundation toward becoming a seasoned communications professional. In early 2015, I partnered with an ex-colleague to build a content marketing agency, and being the Head of Content and Design, I handled over 20 clients in a span of a few years. Eventually, I moved out and established WyteFyre- an agency that delivers on the promise of quality content and design.

"When you lead with passion, you are certain to find others around you reflecting your energy, and the success eventually follows"

What motivated you to establish WyteFyre? Tell us about some of the unique features of the company?

Creative freedom can never be satisfied. Only lived and relived, over and over again. I realized I have a yearning to make my own space in the industry. There are a lot of content writing companies and a ton of digital marketing agencies, but very few combine content and design effectively to serve the cause, and that's where WyteFyte fits in. We work with clients across B2B, B2C, Tech, Retail, Media, and even Social Enterprises- with creativity being our USP. In a world of content creators chasing numbers and defying algorithms, WyteFyre strives to show brands that nothing can get you more attention than authentic stories, while bringing a human connection to your marketing efforts.

What are some of the most pressing challenges you encounter as an entrepreneur? How do you successfully mitigate these challenges?

The first challenge of being a decision-maker comes with responsibility and the ability to trust your instincts. The second is establishing a positive, growth-oriented culture in the team. The third is donning many hats, from looking into the company books one minute to offering design direction and hunting fresh talent the next. As client needs evolve, and teams churn out content and design, it becomes crucial to keep track of quality and support them to foster a positive work environment. Prioritization is how I address these challenges, and listing tasks is a prelude to making better decisions at work. At WyteFyre , I ensure new employees are well versed with the workings of the communications industry and agency life before being hired. As a leader, I always encourage the team to think beyond the current possibilities. I believe in giving the team the freedom that I would expect, considering the quality we aim to deliver. I give the team time and space to explore skills outside their defined roles.

What are some of the most significant milestones you have achieved throughout your professional journey?

Being a Computer Science graduate, one of my most significant milestones was making my mark in communications and design without formal training or education in this field. In my opinion, it takes talent more than training to be able to write and express. The sense of fulfillment it gives me to be able to write for other people, be it a business, or my personal and professional connections, is immeasurable.

How do you foresee the Indian marketing communications industry evolving shortly? What steps do you take to keep yourself aligned with these periodic evolutions?

Content curation, which once meant research and production, is now easily tainted with plagiarism and heavily influenced by peers. To stand out, Indian marketing communications professionals genuinely need to bring unique stories to the table or be lost in the ocean of reels. Real stories create an impact and go beyond temporarily satisfying entertainment needs. At WyteFyre, we explore and look for current trends and evolution in the communications space. It is important to stay aligned with these new trends to give clients the necessary visibility; however, we still believe in staying true to a brand's core values.
