How Ai Can Play A Pivotal Role In HR Tech?

AI has made its way into HR Tech already and it is reflected in the way people look for jobs or are headhunted on social media and job boards, the selection and hiring processes and the employee lifecycle processes in workplaces. Chatbots, for instance have already revolutionised query resolution for organisations where it is not required of an actual HR representative to repeatedly answer the same question for multiple people. Their focus is to ensure that the content that sits behind the chatbot is up to date and representative of the most common questions being asked.

AI will play a bigger role in engulfing the traditional HR roles and giving rise to new age HR and HR roles. Whether it is finding levels of engagement and competence through AI mechanisms for talent practices or creating customised learning paths, coaching plans or engagement plans for its people, AI can not only take away the manual nature of work but also the thinking aspect of it to a great extent. This will mean that Human Resources will only become more specialized in the skills set and EQ it requires of someone intending to work in HR. We will need Human Resource Specialists to be able to work in squads with Agile thinking, adept at basics of design thinking and coding. With remote and hybrid working and now the talks of VR based roles and jobs that will exist, HR tech will also advance further with AI starting to make its mark in fields like emotional wellness, employee relations and Organisational Development. It is time for HR tech to take over the traditional HR work with deeper AI integration and for future HR professionals to start getting ready to play new age roles in a new age world powered by AI.
