Top 10 Women L and D Consultants - 2021

Heretofore, most people are well aware of gender gap in both pay and leadership representation. Most people also know that the gap is completely different depending on the trade or job role. So, are women faring in learning and development? It’s tough to search out gender data specific to learning and development (L&D), probably as a result of the performance function housed in departments like human resources and many more existing across industries. For generations, women have had to attempt to make their voices heard within. Socio-economic constraints, lack of quality education, uneven representation in leadership, and a corporate glass ceiling that continually appeared tough to interrupt have kept women out of competition for an equal share of the space pie.

Even in today’s present time, disparities exist between opportunities provided to men and women. A recent study conducted by the Pew Research Center shows that in 2018, women staff attained solely 85 percent of what their male peers took home. Back home in India, the gender pay gap within the country's company sector alone stood at 27 percent as of 2018.

The first step towards growth always lies in possessing the correct data about that path. Similarly, within the course of charting their career upwards, women first and foremost need access to knowledge. This has to be shared in a manner that women feel comfortable accessing and find relevant for their growth. It’s only if they need access to quality information and ways in which to decipher it, women will march ahead towards leadership roles in organizations. And sectors like corporate Learning and Development have an enormous role to play during this.
