PM Modi praises Indian Women's role in Digital Revolution of India

The Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi recently met with the co-founder of Microsoft and one of the world's richest people, Bill Gates at his residence where he expressed his appreciation for women's desire to adopt new technology and also acknowledged their important role in the nation's digital revolution. He mentioned the impact of women driving growth for technological advancement in order to drive the country's digital transformation.

PM Modi mentioned "When he used to hear about the digital divide in the world, he thought that he would never allow such things to happen in India. Digital public infrastructure is a major requirement in itself where women are more open to adopting new technology in India."

He used the 'Namo Drone Didi' program driven by the Indian government as a solid example that enabled women who previously did not know how to ride a bicycle to become proficient drone pilots. He said that women in India are capable of adapting to new technological advancements with utmost excitement which was demonstrated by this change in perspective. In addition to this, PM Modi also expressed his views on how technology has the ability to bring change in a number of industries, including education, healthcare, and agriculture.

He assured that the digital division present in India would be eradicated soon and emphasized the value of digital public infrastructure. If the ruling government party of India gets reelected during the event of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), the Prime Minister assured to provide special funds for girls' vaccines against cervical cancer and research to combat the disease.
