Indian Women Defeat Thailand at Hockey Asian Champions Trophy

Indian women thrashed Thailand 13-0 with drag-flicker, Gurjit Kaur, scoring five goals at the Asian Champions Trophy hockey.

Vandana Katariya found the second goal after Gurjit gave India the lead off a penalty stroke in the second minute.

In the 14th minute, another field goal was added by Limima Minz, while to give India a 5-0 lead by the end of the first quarter in the 14th and 15th minute, Gurjit and Jyoti scored two more from penalty corners.

Scoring in the 16th minute, in the second quarter, Rajwinder Kaur made her international debut. In the 24th minute, Gurjit scored her third goal and Lilima scored another from a penalty corner.

In the 25th minute, Gurjit scored her fourth, giving India a massive 9-0 at half-time.

India continued to dominate after returning from break. For the first six minutes, Thailand dug in deep and defended well but scoring another field goal in the 36th minute, Jyoti broke through. Four minutes later, after a defensive error, India got another penalty corner.
