Indian athletes have made a remarkable start at the Para Asian Games 2023, securing a total of six gold medals on the opening day of the competition. Praveen Kumar demonstrated his prowess in the Men's High Jump T64, and T66 events, claiming the gold medal. Notably, his success was accompanied by fellow Indian athlete Unni Renu, who secured the bronze medal in the same event, underscoring India's strength in para-athletics.

Ankur Dhama emerged victorious in the Men's 5000m-T11 category, further contributing to India's gold medal count. The excellence displayed by these athletes highlights the dedication and hard work they have put into their training and preparation.
