Go Dharmic, a non-profit that promotes compassion through action, started the Dharma Forest initiative to aid in the restoration of the Sundarbans in response to the mounting effects of climate change. By 2025, two million mangroves are expected to have been planted in the West Bengal marshes. The Dharma Forest will advocate for the crucial role wetlands play within the ecosystem, contributing to the wellness of people, animals, and the earth, and it will offer a natural and sustainable solution to the climate issue.

A coastal tree known as a mangrove helps prevent erosion and flooding while also housing a variety of creatures. These trees capture five times more carbon dioxide than ordinary trees, making them effective carbon vacuums. The initiative, which combines direct action with education and awareness-raising, is being carried out in collaboration with regional companies, NGOs, and communities.

"Watching the mangrove regeneration process is an incredible joy. We shall all have a brighter, more sustainable future if we practice ahimsa (non-harming) towards the environment.” - Bhishma Dass, Director of Operations at Go Dharmic, Dharma Forest

The Dharma Forest, which empowers the next generation of young women in India, is mostly planned and carried out by underprivileged women in the area. By giving the women the knowledge and tools they need to launch their enterprises, the project aims to empower them and make them self-sufficient. The ladies now feel more respectable and can learn skills to help their families.

In the Sundarbans, Jhuma Sarkar of Pakhiralay Village remarked, "We are unable to work the land because the river dam breaches and floods. We are now powerless! This year's torrential rains prevented us from cultivating the land, and they also ruined our ponds and homesteads.”

The activities of Go Dharmic have not only benefited Indian women and children but also played a crucial role in building a brighter future for the nation. The organization is dedicated to providing the people of India access to high-quality healthcare, education, and other necessities. The company strives to empower individuals and build a more just, equal, and inclusive society through its programs.

Go Dharmic is a nonprofit organization managed entirely by volunteers that strives to advance sustainability and ahimsa (non-harming). It has been operating for more than ten years and has planned a wide range of initiatives and activities to address and mitigate environmental harm, poverty, and education.

Go Dharmic's founder, Hanuman Dass, declared “One of the most urgent challenges of our day is climate change. We are dedicated to demonstrating what can be accomplished when people work together to bring about change, aid in the restoration of the environment, and protect it for future generations.”
