Google announced on Monday that it has refocused on health-tech after 2020, and two Indian start-up founders, Monika Mehta of Zealth-AI and Laina Emmanuel of BrainSightAI, have been selected for the Women Founders Academy.

They are each dealing with different challenges in the healthcare field. According to Google India, Monika is building a digital hospital-at-home solution that will allow for more fast treatments and better outcomes, and Laina is developing a neuroinformatics platform to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of neuro-oncological and neuropsychiatric disorders.

The Women Founders Academy, a 12-week programme, is designed to help founders develop their leadership skills, build outstanding teams, and manage their individual growth needs.

They'll participate in workshops, network with a group of Google advisers, venture capitalists, and business executives, and receive mentoring from subject matter experts.
