Give us a brief overview of D. Y. Patil institute of master of computer applications and management. What are the major facets about the institution?
DYPIMCAM was established in 2002 by Honorable Dr. D. Y. Patil Padmashree Awardee and Ex-Governor of State of Tripura and Bihar.
Dr. D. Y. Patil Educational Complex, Akurdi, one of the prestigious campus under Dr. D.Y. Patil Pratishthan is beautifully landscaped over 32 acres of land imparting quality education. It has ten Institutions under the aegis of this Educational Complex. The institute is situated in the green and scenic campus of D. Y. patil Pratishthan's Educational Complex, Akurdi, Pune.
As the Institute strongly believes that world-class education is the stepping-stone to progress, the primary objective of DYPIMCAM is to facilitate a vibrant learning environment which provides academic excellence, innovation, experiential learning, research and employability to students and hence contribute to the growth and development of society.

Tell us about your expertise as an educator. While leading the institute what is your primary focus?
Currently, I am the Director of D.Y. Patil Institute of MCA & Management since June 2016. I have more than 25 years of experience in training and development, administration and academic research in the field of education.
In addition to this, I am also a Recognized Ph.D. Guide in Computer Management under Savitribai Phule Pune University and have been elected as Vice President of CEGR, Maharashtra State Council and National Adviser, CEGR & Executive committee (Co-opted) member of Management Association of MCA Institutes (MAMI). Recently, I have been awarded the Outstanding Academic Leader Award from CEGR for the Year 2019.

With the experience in delivering training, designing and writing courses, administration, my primary focus while leading the Institute has been to foster academic excellence through experiential learning and value-based education.
Throw some light on the various courses that D Y Pimcam renders to students? What are some factors kept in mind while designing these courses?
The courses offered at DYPIMCAM are specifically aimed to provide students the best industry exposure and a nurturing classroom environment. The courses offered by the Institute are, Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.), Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) and PhD program- Three to Five Years Doctorial Course.
The “Industry-driven Curriculum" is prescribed by Savitribai Phule Pune University and designed by the Institute with the sole purpose of bridging the gap between academic curriculum and expected industry standards. These include skill & Employability Development, Demonstrative Teaching Methodology, Value-added Certification courses, Entrepreneurship Skills, live projects & Summer Internship programmes.

The Campus provides world class infrastructure, sports complex and a well-equipped facility with a homely atmosphere. We have sustainable eco-green system in Campus well known as the oxygen zone of Campus life. The environment here is ideal for young minds to invent fresh ideas, spark innovation and independent thinking.
The Institute strives diligently for the holistic development of the students by providing a platform to develop, nurture and strengthen their talents through numerous opportunities. Numerousevents are organized for students to enrich their student life on Campus. National days and festivals are celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm. Students also participate in several Intercollegiate Competitions. Social outreach programs, awareness campaigns, adoption of an orphanage and tree plantation drives help students enhance their emotional well-being making them socially responsible citizens.
How has D. Y. Patil institutes' growth journey been so far? What is the roadmap set for the institute in the days to come?
The growth journey of DYPIMCAM has been amazing so far with the fervent support of the management, team of highly talented staff and students. Together, we work as a community that is incessantly innovating and improving the quality of research and education, thus making a valuable contribution to the Education Fraternity.
Our Institute's strategy will continue creating a supportive environment for staff and students that rewards and recognizes creativity and improvements, whilst encouraging student engagement in a positive change. Going forward we will keep reviewing our teaching methodologies to create more area for innovative education, multidisciplinary activities and for students' engagement with faculty, with each other, and with the world in general.
We also look forward to use Data Analytics to understand and predict the Employability Quotient of students, developing digital enhancements to improve our curricula and pedagogy, incorporating design thinking modules and integrating additional ML & AI courses. Overall, we relentlessly seek to increase the Institute's footprint in education at par with global standards.
